With the run up to Christmas gathering pace, take a look at our checklist to make sure you don’t forget anything before the big day!
If you haven’t already started it’s definitely time to start thinking about buying your presents. Don’t leave it too late!

This can be a hidden killer on the bank balance, especially after you’ve bought all your presents. Make a list of what you need, work out what you can buy early and make a start now! If you’re struggling to find the time, try doing your shopping online and get it delivered to your doorstep.
Top tip: Make room in your fridge before you go out buying.
Have you thought about how you’ll keep the family occupied over the holidays? Board games are always a winner, and a Christmas movie always goes down well. A game of charades or the well known post it note guess who game are fun and cost free ways to spend some quality time with the family.
Top Tip: Make a festive playlist to play in the background!
Christmas is family time, and love them or hate them, you’ll probably have the in-laws coming to visit. Give yourself time to give the house a quick clean and make sure you have everything you need to entertain.
Top Tip: Don’t forget the emergency chairs!
One of the best bits about Christmas is having all the lovely leftovers! Make full use of everything and don’t let anything go to waste. Make a plan of what meals you could conjure up with the leftover turkey and veggies, even if you just have a buffet for dinner all week!
Top Tip: Even the turkey carcass can be salvaged! Use it to make a stock which you can use for soup or simply freeze.
